Verena Sulek
Verena Sulek was, together with her husband Drago Sulek, ten-time Slovene and former Yugoslav Standard and Latin Champion. Drago and Verena Sulek were also the first Slovenian dance couple which, though it was difficult at the time, regularly took lessons with Bill Irvin, Benny Tolmayer, Len Scrivener, Walter Laird and other excellent dance coaches in London. While pursuing her successful dance career, Verena Sulek studied at the University of Ljubljana, continued the studies in Paris for a year, and, upon finishing her studies, worked as a High School teacher for twenty years. At the same time, she founded and run a successful dance school, from which many former and present successful dancers have emerged. After Slovenia's attainment of independence, she took up a new challenge in business, becoming a sales and export manager of the single Slovene television producing company, which exported 95% of it's production to European markets. Performing this function, she has gained a wide range of financial and other experience,
which she will put to good use as the treasurer of the IPDSC.
