On Thursday, October 15th , in London, the IPDSC Presidium met to discuss, among other things, the appointment of the new President following the resignation of Mr. Peter Maxwell.
The Presidium unanimously appointed Mr. Daniele Tondon to lead the International Professional DanceSport Council at this important moment in time.

Among the other agenda items discussed were a proposal to support the future project of the IDSF, "VISION 2012" in connection with which it was proposed that subject to the vote of the IPDSC members, the IPDSC will become the IDSF Professional Division, as intended by the resolution of the IDSF AGM in Wels (Austria) in 2006 which marked the formation of the IPDSC.

Honorary President Mr. Ferruccio Galvagno spoke in support of the motion, stressing the need, of both the IPDSC and IDSF, to seek the necessary amendments, at the respective future Annual General Meetings of 2010, to the respective statutes and put to the vote the procedures necessary to achieve a single organization recognized by the IOC.
The Presidium also decided the date of the 2010 Annual General Meeting that will be held in Vienna the 12th and 13th of June 2010, in conjunction with the AGM of the IDSF.
